EVIDENCE Upstream field note

A documented starting point

Injection worked, but the documented ReShade depth route did not. The selected field note describes prior work on a specific version and configuration. Read its prerequisites, verification, and known limitations before trying the same route on your install.

THIS ROUTE IS STILL RESEARCH

The selected Black Myth: Wukong note reports successful injection but a failed ReShade depth route. It does not establish a working Minecraft passthrough mod. Ask your agent to explain the dead end before proposing further experiments.

The engine classification helps you navigate the directory. The installed game version, runtime, and available loader determine what your agent can actually build.

Read the original field note

Start by inspecting your install

Give your agent the actual game folder and ask it to search the knowledge base. It should compare your version to the note and explain the route before changing files.

um kb search "Black Myth: Wukong"
Starting prompt for your agent
Inspect my Black Myth: Wukong install. Read the ReShade depth dead-end field note and explain which route failed. Do not assume the passthrough example is working.

Make your first change small

  1. Confirm the exact version and required mod loader.
  2. Set up a separate test save and record how to restore the original files.
  3. Build one small feature with a clear expected result.
  4. Test it inside the running game and check its logs.
  5. Only then add final art, extra mechanics, or other mods.

If this is your first session, use the first-mod workflow. If the setup or loader fails, use the troubleshooting guide.

VERSION-SPECIFIC EVIDENCE

This guide links documented upstream work. We have not independently run this mod. A working note does not guarantee compatibility with every update, platform, or mod list.
